Post Rock Family Medicine recently worked with the Rooks County Health Center and local mental health providers to bring new services to Rooks County!  Residents will now be able to benefit from local counseling in both Plainville and Stockton.

Turning Point Professional Counseling Services (TPPCS) is now providing mental health and counseling services at Post Rock Family Medicine’s Plainville Medical Clinic, located inside the Rooks County Health Center.

Nurturing Hope Counseling (NHC) has begun providing similar services in the Stockton Medical Clinic.

The outreach clinics will provide patients with general counseling services for all ages, as well as providing testing, out call evaluations and assessments, drug and alcohol counseling, and court ordered evaluations.

“Our ultimate goal is to provide quality mental health care in the area,” said Bill Davis, counselor at TPPCS. “We hope to even expand our outreach services in Rooks County to help develop and implement a crisis intervention program with the hospital and clinics.”

Turning Point Professional Counseling Services is a private practice clinic located in Hays that provides outreach services to Colby, Quinter, Phillipsburg, and now Rooks County. To schedule an appointment, please call the TPPCS office at 866.463.2679.

Randee Olive, counselor with NHC offered, “I’m so honored to be welcomed into the community and look forward to expanding my services to the area and meeting its members.”

Nurturing Hope Counseling is located and Hays where Randee sees the majority of her patients.  Patients can speak with Ms. Olive at 785.635.3183 to schedule appointments or ask questions.

These services have begun in both locations on a half-day per week basis but the hope is for services to expand as patients take advantage of the local opportunity.

“Mental health services are hard to come by in rural communities,” said Davis. “We hope by bringing outreach services to Post Rock Family Medicine and Stockton medical Clinic we can help assist Rooks County communities.”
