Ann Knipp joined Post Rock Family Medicine a year ago and says that her favorite part about working here is the atmosphere.  She works directly with LifeLine Family Medicine, primarily nursing for Dr. Lynn Fisher and Emily Decker, PA.

Ann first met Dr. Fisher in 1995 when they were in the same Certified Nursing Assistant class.  Ann went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fort Hays State University in 2000.  She has worked as a Registered Nurse ever since, most recently in Wichita.

Ann originally wanted to work in obstetrics.  She had her first child in Coconino County, Arizona and was far away from home.  When she had her baby, the nurses were like her family and she loved what they provided her as a new mother.

When she discovered a job opening with Dr. Fisher, she jumped at the opportunity to move back home.  Originally from WaKeeney, Ann loves being back in western Kansas where she can enjoys being out of the city.  From seeing sunrises, sunsets, and the stars at night to simply waving hello at other drivers, Ann couldn’t be happier to be back in the area.

Ann and her husband Mark love spending most of their time raising their 5 children.  However, when they have free time they love to attend dirt track races.  Also, Ann is excited to see her husband participate in the Demolition Derby at the Rooks County Free Fair next week!
