Setting Goals – And Sticking to Them!

March 8, 2011 | Health Advice | By: Jennifer Brull

So now we are 10 weeks into 2011 and most of the new year’s resolutions have started to wear off.  Many people likely set goals to eat healthier, exercise more, and lose weight when January 1 showed up on the calendar, but what do you do now that you’ve fallen back into some of 2010’s old habits?

Goal setting can be a challenging process when you are trying to set reasonable and reachable goals!  Here is a process you can use to get back on the right track and finish 2011 strong.

Make an ACTION PLAN!  Your plan should include:
1)       Something YOU want to do (not something someone else wants you to do!)
2)       An ACHIEVABLE goal (start small – what can you do this week? today?)
3)       A SPECIFIC action (not a general idea like “exercise more”)
4)       A CONFIDENCE level in your goal (how sure are you that you can achieve your goal?)

When you build your goal, be able to answer the questions: what? how much? when? and how often?

Use the attached worksheet to try it TODAY!  (Right now!)  Then share your success with us on Facebook.
