Stockton Medical Clinic nearing completion
On May 19, a crew of Rooks County Healthcare Foundation members, Post Rock staff, and volunteers came together to plant flowers and bushes, surrounded by a variety of gravel and mulch to give the building some much needed aesthetic improvements. Spearheaded by the Goodhearts and Kathy Ramsey, the group was successful in completing all the planned planting and improvements.
A week and a half later, on May 31 the clinic had its new grass installed. A low-water fescue now surrounds the building and has brought about near completion to the building’s beautiful exterior landscaping.
Patients and staff alike are proud of the new clinic and it brings about a great presence on the west side of Stockton.
Beth Loney, one of the new physicians at the clinic offered her thoughts on the project: “The clinic is just as beautiful and functional as we had hoped when we were first considering the move to Stockton. We’re proud to be serving patients in this amazing facility and are encouraged that the community has been so supportive of the completion of the project. We couldn’t be happier to be the new providers in such a great community.”
While the physical labor is close to completed, the Foundation is still looking to raise funds to complete the financial side of the project. If you are interested in helping, please contact Kathy Ramsey at the Rooks County Health Center.
